About the Author

David E. Thomley is a retired deputy chief of police from South Carolina. He and his wife, Denise, have five adult children and four grandchildren. Since his retirement, David has continued to work full-time. He is currently the director of safety and security at Camden Military Academy, he is also in charge of classroom discipline. His previous positions include teaching criminal justice, and coaching football and basketball. During the course of his law enforcement career, David wrote dozens of press releases, and had several appearances on national news outlets including: ABC Good Morning America, MSNBC, CNN, and CBS Morning News. He also appeared in an episode of Dateline, Investigation Discovery, and Inside Edition. David served as a consultant for a Lifetime movie titled The Girl in the Bunker. More recently David appeared on a new Lifetime show titled, “ Text me when you get home”. Over the years, David has served on many boards, commissions, and councils, and has been a volunteer for different organizations. When he is not working, David and his wife, Denise, enjoy spending time with family and friends. They enjoy traveling to new places, and they love taking cruises. David loves the Lord, he loves his church and church family.
