About the Book

It is her birthday and Lucy is thrilled when her father announces she is receiving a gift she has always wanted: a puppy! Lucy’s bond with little Beau is immediate. After she brings him home, he settles into the household and provides his new family with lots of love. But one day while on an adventure together, Beau somehow breaks free from his lead and collar and runs away, leaving Lucy heartbroken and very, very worried. Will she ever find her beloved dog? About the Author

Lucinda Carter is a retired educator of young children in Australian primary schools who often read books to students in the school library. Her second book, My Dog Beau, was inspired by her own experience as a lover of dogs. Lucinda’s first book, The Bush Koala, was published in 2021.
