About the Book

Brock the Peacock was loosely based on the adventures of a rogue peacock living in Oaks Estate, near Queanbeyan. Children will be transfixed by the vivid artistry while independently reading this book. High frequency words with repetition to help build the beginner reader’s confidence to autonomously read their own books, or even share this adventure with you.

About the Author

Sarah Martin-Young is an experienced primary school teacher (Bachelor of Teaching, Primary), who currently resides in Queanbeyan, NSW. While teaching kindergarten it became apparent that the traditional picture story books always required an experienced reader to read it aloud. With her background in literacy intervention and kindergarten teaching she went about crafting a book where beginner readers can read their own story, while being captivated with bold and bright pictures.
