About the Book

The suffering of an immeasurable loss by an aged pensioner leads him on a journey from which he knows from the start that there is no return option. On that journey he encounters a psychologically damaged war veteran just returned from Iraq. Trying desperately to mentally recover from his war induced mental state he is confronted with the abduction of his young daughter presumably by a known paedophile. The two form a bond as the old man seeks to find the young girl and justice. From the ensuing amalgamation of minds and resources two organisations are formed with diametrically opposed methods of achieving similar goals. Behind that opposition lies an inescapable bond of love and gratitude. Vigilante justice or legislative reform will prevail eventually. What will be his legacy?

About the Author

I am an 81 year old retired pensioner. I am married and have an extended family. I have spent most of my “active” spare time coaching children from five to sixteen years old in a variety of sports. This has given me an outlook of fair play; rewards for hard work, and consequences for short cuts. Outside of these arenas there seems to be a dominance of the feelings of self-entitlement. Unfortunately, more of my time is spent now watching events unfold in the news. It is filled daily with more and more unpunished disregard for society and its rules.
