About the Book

This book spans thirty years. It contains protest poems from the Civil Rights Era, selected poems commemorating special occasions, situations, and people. It also contains spiritual outlooks with reflections and prayers.

About the Author

Harrison Havard, Jr was born 2-27-39 in Vicksburg , Mississippi. He attended Saint Mary's Catholic School, graduating from high school in 1957. He attended Jackson State University earning a B. S. degree in speech communications education. He is a retired U. S. Postal Employee and retired classroom Teacher. He currently resides Vicksburg with his wife, Mattye, who is a retired school librarian.
