About the Book
The Quaker lawyer, Susan Thompson, is the heroine of Susan and the Truth, a novelette and a number of short mysteries. With a passion for truth and a belief in justice tempered with mercy, Susan sees the God within each person. Two Quaker principles underlie all the stories: all persons have value because God lives within them and there is a peaceful, non-violent solution for all problems. The mysteries, set in the Southwest, have a miner with a small claim, a curandera, a Santo maker and an archaeologist as suspects and murderers. High tech solutions reveal the identity of some murderers. Plants are used to solve murders as well as to aid in their commission.
