About the Book

This book describes the lives and contributions of eminent individuals that have passed on in recent years. In effect, the descriptions are mini-biographies highlighting the tremendous accomplishments of outstanding persons including George C. Scott, actor in "Patton;" Wilt Chamberlain, basketball legend, "Wilt the Stilt;" Payne Stewart, "Golf's Ambassador;" Walter Payton, "Chicago Bears Premium Running Back" and Rex Allen, Western film's "Last Singing Cowboy."

Clayton Moore, "The Lone Ranger," Tom Landry, Dallas Cowboys' "Legendary Coach," Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., "Actor with Class," Walter Matthau, cinema's "Lovable Grouch," Loretta Young, filmdom's "Symbol of Class, Elegance and Glamour," Steve Allen, author, composer and "Versatile Talent," and Billy Barty, "Little Person Actor - Giant" are included.

Descriptions are primarily narrative with five-line verses interspersed for humor, aesthetic appeal, preference and vivid expression.

About the Author

Robert R. Morman was born in Lansford, PA. He served in the USN as Chief Yeoman during WWII and later joined the USAFR where he retired as a Major. He received the B. A., M. A. and Ph. D. degrees in psychology (USC, 1955). His work experience included positions like research psychologist, counseling psychologist, professor of psychology and education at CSULA. Subjects taught included counseling, tests & measurements, statistics, research, thesis and related. He also consulted on research and statistical projects. Publications encompassed numerous articles on counseling, automation, statistics and test validation plus books on a vocational test battery. In addition, books on Clinton’s plans for “changing” America, UNAmericanization and his impeachment and trial were also published.
