About the Book
It’s Holy Week when a former Catholic priest named Van Doren takes a new job in a central North Carolina city. His once unwavering faith has become little more than nostalgia, when he discovers the mutilated body of a young woman, who appears to have been killed as part of a ritualistic ceremony. He is soon drawn into a series of other strange happenings, and his religious training is tapped to find a serial criminal. A man who enjoys poetry above most things on earth, has recently begun calling himself Q. He lives in his dead sister’s car and has begun hearing voices. Q enjoys reading the Bible, particularly the Gospel According to John. Van discovers he has to find Q before Good Friday, the day of the crucifixion.
