I have just completed a book entitled therapeutic art activities for Alzheimer’s/Dementia patients this book entails various pictures that residents may either color, paint, or pencil in this book will also in turn help to improve and sharpen their motor skills.

About the Author

Mrs. Vernada Thomas was born in the country of Haiti. She moved to the United States about 5 years ago where she now resides with her husband and son Robert. While still residing in Haiti, she worked as a nurse and school teacher. This is where her love for children and the elderly grew. While here in the U.S., she became a certified nursing assistant and worked for Fritzingertown Assisted Living. Here is where she developed a more special love for Alzheimer and dementia patients. These experiences helped her to become more creative. She came to realize that there is a need for this type of book. One that is geared specifically for those types of patients. This book was created using hand-eye coordination. It was also created for all activity departments in every style of residential facility, nursing home, and rehabilitation center which cares for Alzheimer and dementia patients.
