About the Author

DEAR FRIENDS: My name is Laura Podosyan. Armenian by descent, I was born in Georgia-a republic of the former Soviet Union. When I was fourteen years old my parents decided to move to Ukraine. Even though I missed my friends and the childhood places in Georgia, I was fortunate to have such a great opportunity to live in Ukraine, make new friends, meet interesting people, learn the language, be engaged in a new culture and traditions. I graduated from the National University in Odessa with a Master Degree in Education and became a teacher. For twenty years I have taught children and I am lucky to be their teacher. I have two wonderful sons, am happily married and live with my husband in California which has become my new and lovely home.
