About the Book

Timmy’s Journey is a story about little Timmy, a bunny who lives with his mom. Shehears a noise outside and runs to see what it is. When Timmy tries to follow her, hegets lost and is rescued by a family nearby. Timmy first family never learned how toreact to someone who is different from them. After two attempts, Timmy finally finds afamily who can accept him, even though they are all different. His new family is full ofdifferences and have learned to accept and even enjoy each others uniqueness. This story shows us how, even though people are different, a family can come together through perseverance, love, and acceptance.

About the Author

SUSAN VON TOBEL, M.A., is an Educator, Writer, Family Therapist, and Spiritual Director. She has taken additional courses in Adoption and Attachment issues. Susan is committed to writing stories that help children and parents open a conversation about cultural differences and acceptance. Susan adopted her daughter from China in 1999 and has personal experience of family diversity. She and her now 15 year old daughter live in Oregon with their two dogs, Sammy and Sadie. She has been painting in the watercolor medium since 2003 and is affiliated with the distinguished Watercolor Society of Oregon, the Oregon Society of Artists and the Painters Showcase.
