About the Author
Born and educated in Ghana, later studying Law in UK, the story of JOSEPH GODSON AMAMOO is a catolog of major challenges, physical abuse and suffering , culminating in victory and success. AFTER WORKING IN lONDON UK AS A NEWSPAPER CORRESPONDENT, PUBLIC RELATIONS ADVISOR TO THE GHANA EMBASSY IN LONDON , was appointed an ambassador at the age of 28, thus one of the youngest in the world.He later became a newspaper editor, a Member of Parliament ( Congress)a government minister and finally for 15 horrendous months a political prisoner. He has lived and worked in Ghana, UK and USA for several years.Joseph Amamoo has travelled in USA, EUROPE , INDIA , AFRICA AND THE MIDDLE EAST He is married to an outstanding Irish woman who is a psychologist/author and they have two daughters , both lawyers and married , with five children between them.He has won some local and international awards His interests are classical music,advocacy of inter racial harmony and marriage reading, museums, art galleries and walking. Having no sons he calls his seven other books his "sons", as they carry his name for ever!. From 1996 t0 2001 he taught and wrote in Chicago.Returned to Ghana in April 2001, was appointed chairman of the state-owned diamond mine at Akwatia Concurrently he chaired the investigative commission that dealt with the riots and disturbances in Asutuare in 2000/2001
