In Sydney and the Mean Machine, Sydney introduces you to her cat friends who are part of her family. One morning a mean machine shows up at breakfast time. The mean machine shoots red bullets at two of Sydney's cat friends, hitting one of them in the chest. Haylee, the mother cat, runs to get Sydney to help the cats. Sydney confronts the mean machine. With the help of her brother, Oscar, Sydney overcomes the mean machine, only to be confronted with another machine the next morning. Again, the cats are scared and run to Sydney for help. Will Sydney be able to help them again? Is the new machine friend or foe?
About the Author
Beau Heidy has been a well-respected personal trainer in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area for over nineteen years. He adopted Sydney in 2002 when she was ten months old, and from that day, Sydney was his constant companion. Every work day for over ten years Sydney followed Beau out the front door to accompany him to the homes of the clients he trained. Sadly, Sydney passed away in February 2012, but her spirit lives on in Beau's series of books. She will not be forgotten. Beau lives in Moscow, Ohio, a small rural town southeast of Cincinnati along the Ohio River. He lives with his wife, Jane, who has worked with him on his books. They have two dogs and five outside cats.
