About the Author

James “Bud” Mayer has always been around dogs all his life. His daughter, Erin, and his son, Kristopher, help inspire his children story telling of Holly Tales. Bud’s hobby was dog training, for close to 30 years and three dog training schools, he has worked with 100’s of dogs in obedience training. From sub-novice to utility. His own dogs Baron, Holly, Sandy and Blazer. have won dog shows inside and outside the United States. His fi rst book, “Holly’s First Christmas is more than 20 years old and soon the second edition will be released as well as 2 new books. Bud says, “It’s strange to meet people in their 20’s and 30’s that state I know that story, my parents and grandparents read it to me years ago.”
