About the Author

A former journalist, Robert Eidelberg served for nineteen and a half years as the chair of the English department of William Cullen Bryant High School in New York City and a total of 32 years as a secondary school English teacher in the New York City public school system. For the past seventeen years, Mr. Eidelberg has been a college adjunct supervising undergraduate and graduate student teachers in secondary English education for both the State University of New York at New Paltz and the Brooklyn College and Hunter College campuses of The City University of New York. Based on these teaching and learning experiences, Mr. Eidelberg wrote SO YOU THINK YOU MIGHT LIKE TO TEACH: 23 Fictional Teachers (for Real!) Model How to Become and Remain a Successful Teacher. In the field of self-improvement of one’s mind, Mr. Eidelberg is the creator, author, and editor of a unique three-book self-help series. In addition to STANZA-PHOBIA, he has published GOOD THINKING: A Self-Improvement Approach to Getting Your Mind to Go from “Huh?” to “Hmm” to “Aha!” and its sequel PLAYING DETECTIVE: A Self-Improvement Approach to Becoming a Better Thinker, Reader, and Writer By Solving Mysteries. Along with his life partner of four decades and their new Whippet puppy, Chandler, Robert Eidelberg lives in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York (where else!).
