About the Book

This book is a series of stories from the Old Testament as they may have been told around the campfires by our mothers and fathers of our faith. The author admits that the way he tells them may not have been the way they were told in those ancient years. But he preservers the basic stories and tells them with what he feels was the humor and instruction told around the campfires. While he also admits that his conclusions may not have been theirs, he feels that the basic education and joy in them leads still to sound enlightenment today.

About the Author

Dr. William R. Phillippe has spent over 65 years studying and enjoying the Bible. While he has earned a number of degrees both academic and honorary, he tells people that he is not an academic theologian but a pulpit theologian. He reads, studies and debates then takes what he has learned and puts it into language for a congregation to understand and enjoy. He estimates that he has given over 2,000 sermons and addresses before a wide range of both believers and unbelievers. He has often been introduced as a biblical preacher and truly his love of scripture comes forth with amazing vigor and passion.
