About the Author
Elizabeth Allan has taught hundreds of children in an illustrious career as a pre-school and aftercare teacher. Elizabeth started writing poetry for use in her lessons, finding a shortage of children’s poetry in published books. Much loved by her pre-schoolers, Elizabeth soon found her writing was in demand with the older school children she teaches in the afternoons. Her poetry has been recited at national competitions throughout South Africa as well as in classrooms in many schools. The illustrations in this volume are created by Michelle Cross, a talented artist whose child graduated from Elizabeth’s pre-school some years ago.
