About the Book

Lots of folks left the mountains of Tennessee for free land in the west. Josh Bonners folks were just among the many that year, but something a little different happened to him. By the time he was seventeen he was without family, no particular destination, without friends or friendly guidance. Chance, not reason, played an important part of his growing up fast. The decisions he made, even small ones, played an important role in his life. How he became a man able to make his own way and the lives that were affected by his is a story worth knowing. Because  there is a little bit of Sudden in all of us. Some of the pranks told about as well as some of the incidents were taken from real life stories of the late eighteen hundreds. If you like westerns and stories that have action , you’ll like Sudden.

About the Author

Ben was raised and educated in Billings Montana. In 1951 he enlisted in the Airforce and spent the next four years in uniform during the Korean conflict. He spent most of his life in the construction industry and with his wife Olive raising their four children. Now that he’s retired he can follow his dream to write. He has lots to draw from. His grand father was one of the first to ranch in south Texas. Fighting Indians and Boarder thieves to stay alive. His father carried a six gun from about age twelve, following in the footsteps of two of his older brothers who were professional gunslingers. His background is rich in actual western facts. Many of the incidents relived in this story came from real life.
