About the Author

Jeffrey Pike started his career in pharmaceutical research at Glaxo Laboratories but left to make his fortune in business, although he kept his scientific interest alive through acting as a consultant to the chemical industry. Over the years he has controlled companies in many areas from making boxes in Nigeria to drilling for oil in Canada whilst outside of business he has run a theatre, made films and maintained an active interest in education. In his 50’s, he returned full time to research and today is involved in a number of biotech innovations encompassing areas from gene therapy to the potential eradication of malaria. Jeffrey Pike has been a humanist from an early age which he feels enables him to take a rational view of the religious beliefs of others.
