About the Book

Who is Maitreya and who are the ‘Masters of the Wisdom’? Are they among us now? What do they teach, what is their purpose and how do these relate to our modern concerns? Maitreya has been given many descriptive titles, such as ‘The Lord of Love’, the ‘Christ of the Aquarian Age’, an incarnation of Krishna, the forthcoming Buddha, a Bodhisattva or ‘perfected man’ as he appears in early prophecies, later Buddhist works and esoteric nineteenth and twentieth century writings. The author describes her search for this mysterious spiritual teacher, through practical and theoretical research, observation and participant observation.
