From its beginnings in 1892 to the present day, the tiny law firm of Wolf & Wolf has rubbed shoulders with a fabulous cast of characters, ranging from William Faulkner to Tyrone, who insisted on copping a plea because he was the regular right fielder on the Lorton Prison baseball team.  But no character was more fabulous than Jack, in whose cause the author learned the humility expressed by the title of this book.

About the Author

WILLiam B. Wolf, JR. has been practicing law for as long as he can remember. A graduate of Princeton and Yale, he was admitted to the Bar on November 5, 1951, but he began to practice in 1934, at the age of 7, when his father presented him with a research problem and introduced him to American Law Reports and Corpus Juris. During the three-month trial of “The Road to Glory,” his father preempted the dining room table and relegated him and his homework to a card table on the sun porch.
