About the Book

It could happen to anyone: the false accusation of a disgusting crime. The accused is Woodward "Woody" Gannon, a prominent Milwaukee business executive, civic leader, decorated war veteran, husband, father and grandfather. One evening he is honored for his many contributions to his community and industry. Next morning he is arrested, charged with sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy. Legal consequences are secondary. For a man of Gannon´s stature, the case is tried in the newspaper and on TV news. His salvation is a scraggly street person, a ghost from the frozen hills of North Korea, with vindicating evidence and a terrible secret. Gannon´s life is changed forever. For better or worse? About the Author

Bill Spevacek spent 30 years as a public relations counselor, 24 of them with the Barkin public relations firm in Milwaukee, where he served a wide variety of corporate and nonprofit clients. From 1995 to 1998 he was director of corporate relations for the University of Wisconsin Foundation. He is a journalism graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, a newspaper reporter with the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune and public information officer for the Wisconsin State Patrol. He has also served on the boards of directors and as a volunteer with American Red Cross and other nonprofit agencies in Wisconsin and the Midwest. Spevacek resides with his wife, Pat, in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. They have three children and five grandchildren. Executive Charged is his first novel.
