About the Book

Earthquake vividly depicts what follows when two programmer/seismologists predict an earthquake of mega intensity, the epicenter in mid-state California, will occur in just three weeks and why, though not certain their prediction is accurate, they go public. The quakes and the untold misery that follows are vividly and graphically portrayed. An in-depth look at the lives of the two seismologists, their struggles and what ultimately happens to them and their families are an intimate part of the book’s dramatic unfolding. How such a quake affects not only this country but the rest of the world makes for thoughtful reading.

About the Author

Before moving to Arizona Lucy Copestake was a Methods Analyst/ Programmer in an Eastern corporation writing how-to manuals, program documentation and, as a troubleshooter, reported from field offices throughout the United States. During that period she wrote a how-to book on letter writing and published through mail order a book on dog training. In Sedona, Arizona she wrote for the local newspaper and others in nearby towns. She also sold a number of juvenile stories and had articles about local artists published in national art magazines. Earthquake is her first novel and reflects a lifelong interest in the subject.
