About the Book

Knowing The Rules Of The Game is vital to the success of young Black men and women in America. Unfortunately, our young people learn the rules of the game too late in life. By this time, the struggle of making an honest living in America has proven detrimental to the minds and souls of young people. The primary purpose of this book is to prepare our young people for the challenges they will encounter as they walk across the stage into adulthood. The secondary purpose is to offer Black women realistic insights into how the Black men they love must "Go along--to get along" in order to sustain a position in America's workforce. I encourage all people—high school students through adults to read about my experiences of trying to survive in America. I impart my trials and tribulations so others will be better prepared for the challenges of the 21st century. Truth is reality. History doesn’t change. It only repeats itself time after time.
