About the Book
Lake Journal is less a journal than it is a story of a family and its love for a cabin in the woods. The annual summer vacation to “the lake” was like a memory factory, fast and efficient, manufacturing events to be held dear for a lifetime. Amazingly, unlike us, the factory never seems to slow down, never seems to grow old and, heading into its fifth generation, the inventory continues to grow. The lessons learned beneath the big trees are about nature, oneself, and even survival. Together, the memories — old and new — weave the story, and become the journal. Filled with wonder, humor, danger and love, Lake Journal describes something more than a place on a map, but a place in the heart.
