About the Book

Lauren Perry has come back to Shawneetown—a small peaceful town in southern Illinois—to pursue her career as a mystery novelist. Her life is about to change, though, when she is approached on the street by an old woman, a threat . . . and then the nightmare begins. Someone with evil intentions is now stalking her. Someone who wants her frightened . . . or dead. Someone who has secrets worth killing her for. When Luke Grady, an undercover FBI agent, arrives in Shawneetown with his own disturbing investigation, he crosses paths with Lauren as a madman tries to run her off the road. Now Agent Grady has more than one case to solve when he teams up with Lauren to pursue her killers too. But neither are prepared for the bone-chilling terror they are about to encounter.
