This book is dedicated to all those people who work 3rd Shift, the Graveyard Shift; these people are a special breed of mankind that go to work in the dark and often, come home in the dark. These people feel isolated often, even though they may be surrounded by millions of people who are asleep, and only the next day will their body be found—cold and stiff at their post by the ‘day dwellers’.

About the Author

William Di Carlo has had a lot of leadership experience but none so challenging as a supervisor working 3rd Shift for a Miami based Security Officer Company. Di Carlo knew that no one wanted to be watched via remote video, much less to talk to a supervisor; during the first day on the job Di Carlo decided to make the night go smoother, he’d have the people from various walks of life WANT to talk with him. “Before my shift began, I’d do research on the internet and look-up jokes,” Di Carlo says, “and I choose three and made notes. Then I’d tell the same jokes up to 70 times for that night getting the timing so I could have nearly everyone laugh. Eventually I’d have them laughing just when they would hear my voice. Of course they’d tell me jokes back and I’ve put them into this book, too. “After several months I had so many scrapes of paper floating around that I thought I’d put them on paper for easier handling. Before I knew it, I had 45 pages of jokes and I said to myself, ‘This is a book!’ After that, I decided to add some of my Incident Reports setting the tone of the book.” Have fun reading this book, it is ‘R’ rated and not meant to be mean to anyone, it’s just all for fun and laughs!
