About the Book
Dinosaurs, indelible real life characters and a dramatic plunge down a judicial rabbit hole that occurs more often than imaginable. The book has been described as "soul searching," "a roller coaster ride" and "movie material" (it has, in fact, now been adapted as a script). It charts the unique journey of a small family, the unconditional support of community, both local and national, and lessons learned as the result of amazing entrepreneurial experiences. All in all, it tells a compelling true story of survival despite curious challenges. This book is a "Thank You" and a message of possibility to anyone who promotes inspiration through honest intent.
About the Author
April Rhodes-James, writer/artist, and Barry James, vertebrate paleontologist, are partners in marriage and - since 1987 - in the unique paleontological services business, Prehistoric Journeys. Their work with dinosaurs is admired by museum curators, journalists, CEOs, scientists & world citizens of all ages & from all walks of life.
The couple has experienced 'usual' life challenges as well as unique obstacles, including a relentless three-year federal investigation that continued despite proven innocence. But, as sometimes happens, the situation resulted in abundant gifts of human kindness. The ordeal provided incalculable lessons with respect to advocacy and compassion; family, friends, strangers, top-ranked attorneys, state & federal political leaders and professionals in many fields rallied as an unanticipated and incredibly proactive populace.
