About the Book

Sprookie, a spunky cockatiel, and Froogle, a large green tree frog, have been best friends forever. All they ever do is dream of being superheroes. Their daydreaming is interrupted by Mamma Koala, who has had her daughter’s gumdrops stolen from her tree house. About the Author

As a young child growing up on a fine wool Merino sheep farm in country Victoria, Amanda adores the adventures & excitement that nature can provide. She has just spent the last 6 years living in Darwin, Northern Territory where the wonderful diversity in nature & culture opened up a whole new perspective on life for her. Amanda wrote her first book Grandma’s Garden when her daughter was 5 months old, as a timeless story of her memories with her Grandmother and her beautiful garden. Sprookie, Froogle & the Three Possum Bandits is a great expression of Amanda’s playfulness with the bright colours of nature & great Australian characters. Illustrating is a passion for both Amanda and her mother, Lynette Diss, who enjoyed working with Amanda again in creating colourful Australiana backdrops for Sprookie & Froogle’s adventures while capturing the three possum bandits.
