About the Book

This is a semibiographical story of my husband and me—how we met, our children, and our grandchildren. Twelve years ago, my husband had a stroke and has had medical challenges ever since. This book is written to first help our grandchildren and then all children understand the aging process of beloved relatives such as grandparents.

About the Author

With a BS in English/Latin and an MA in English/American literature from the University of Wisconsin, I am an assistant professor of English at Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida. I mainly teach courses in technical communication and have coauthored several books including Technical Writing for Private Industry and The Pictorial History of Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad 1966–1999. I also teach online classes in technical communication. I am a member of the Society of Technical Communication. My husband, a retired electrical engineer, and I have two children, both engineers, and three grandchildren. My outside interests include reading (history and biographies), listening to music, watching movies, traveling, and biking—and now writing stories for children.
