About the Book

Preoccupation with my own heart running rampant is the basis for this poetry book. Being vulnerable is a facet of life that makes many individuals apprehensive and have difficulty discussing. Rather than wallowing in that shame or pity, one can find redemption. One can be renewed. Change is feasible and possible. These poems seek to advocate in finding one’s sense of self while navigating through love’s perils no matter how daunting the challenge. Along with kindred memories from chapters throughout my personal life, you will be able to grow in interconnectedness in the human plight and have the courage to change familial woes.
