About the Book
In the Gulf of St. Lawrence, off Canada’s East coast, there is an archipelago called the Magdalen Islands (or les Iles -de-la-Madeleine) the inspiration for The Magdalen Island Alphabet Book. Educational and delightful, the book presents the alphabet, can be used as a picture book, for art ideas, or used as a supplement to a social studies unit. Many of the “focus words” are applicable to any island and have been translated into French, supporting bilingual education. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed creating it.
