About the Author
Lloyd E. Hixon was born on May 12, 1918 in Milford, Massachusetts. He graduated as valedictorian of the Class of 1936 from Milford High School. In 1941 he received his bachelor's degree in Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. During World War II, Mr. Hixon served with Co. C of the 101st Engineers of the 26th Infantry Division in the European Theater. The Division earned four battle stars. After the War Mr. Hixon was active in the American Institute of Architects and the Construction Specification Institute serving as president of the local chapters in both Institutes. Since 1953 Mr. Hixon has resided in Northborough, Massachusetts with his wife.
