About the Book
This is a compelling story of fourteen co-eds whose lives
were linked by participation in each others' weddings during and
after they were in college.
Their lives, during the ten years after the weddings show a
variety of circumstances and adjustments.
The story is told in the first person by a co-ed who was
raped two years after she graduated and who is so traumatized by
this experience that she becomes afraid of any physical contacts.
A reunion with five of her friends five years after this
brings her to the realization that she must have therapy to
overcome her problems.
She is assigned three specific tasks by a Rape Counselor and
these lead her to look up some of her friends ten years after
they had graduated. Their varied joys and problems console her
and she recovers to the extent that she marries a former college
suitor. This essentially loveless marriage produces a child but
she is indiscreet enough to begin a passionate affair with a
married man, which terminates as she chooses her husband and son
over the excitement of her lover.
