About the Book

Rebecca, haunted by a devastating past, accepts a position as engineer at a largely male-dominated water supply facility. Scott, her supervisor, swallows his misgivings and hires her in spite of his distrust of beautiful women, a result of his former wife’s desertion of him and their small son. Rebecca’s beauty and sensuality war with his libido and determination to avoid any attachments. Strongly attracted to him, Rebecca feels safe with Scott’s hostility—keeping her promise to herself never to be hurt by a man again. What ensues ensnares our couple in repeated turmoil and physical temptation fraught with suspicions and accusations in solving the mystery of who is sabotaging New York City’s water supply. Circumstances throw them together deliciously and tear them apart cruelly, time and time again, fortunately culminating in a very satisfying ending.

REVIEWS ON A WOMAN ON THE JOB

"Every woman on the job should read A WOMAN ON THE JOB! Trendy, upbeat and empowering! A wonderful and absorbing story that will send readers happily right over the waterfall of romance!" Cheryl Anne Porter

“Brilliant. Seductive. Not since Die Blechtrommel have readers been asked to follow so deeply into the dementia. This wryly crafted allegory lures us to the penultimate step before we realize there’s no turning back, no waking up.” T.E.W.

“Congratulations on your book—it’s a winner. The characters were interesting and the plot was very well planned and certainly held my interest. Keep up the good work.” L.F.

“A lovely piece of writing and a gripping tale. The book really gained steam in the second half, as it gathered momentum, I was practically glued to it. Your descriptions were quite colorful and reminiscent of my living in that area, and the love story unfolded in a neat and satisfying way. I really did like it. Even the print was good and very readable. Congratulations and thanks for opening up a new and fresh channel to my reading enjoyment.” Dr.G.C.

“Intrigue—suspense—romance—real, down-to-earth characters! A pleasure to read!” S.G.

“These are characters I would expect to run into in real life……full of pathos, warmth and mystery………” J.S.
