SHAKESPEARE REDUX is a poem for poem response to Shakespeare's Sonnets, on his own terms. A perspective of four hundred years, the nuances and variations between Elizabethan and American English, the playfulness at the heart of this venture, and the delightful restrictions of form are all part and parcel of this collection of little songs, then and now. About the Author
About the author: Larry Lyall is a poet, musician and occasional professor of literature and the humanities. He is the author of SHAKESPEARE REDUX, a sonnet for sonnet response to Shakespeare's famous sequence, THE SHORTER DECAMERON, a Petrarchan gloss on Boccaccio's classic. Watch for his forthcoming CALLEJONEADAS/ALLEY SONGS, an irreverent, often truthful, account of a decade spent in the provinces of Mexico. He lives in Gainesville, Florida.
