Jacob is Stacie’s biological child, and he has two sisters who joined their family via adoption. The book is the result of Jacob’s need for reassurance that he is as special as his sisters are, and is loved just as much as they are.
The book describes joining a family through adoption and through biological ties from Jacob’s point of view, explaining that each family member is special and that both ways of joining a family are unique and wonderful.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. I feel that any family with both biological and adopted children will enjoy reading it and will benefit immensely from its simple message: Every child is special.
