Philanthropist, Humanitarian, Entrepreneur, and two-time Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana Angel nominee, Carolyn Hicks Jones wears many hats. Ms. Jones currently serves as a Special Education Teacher and 4H volunteer leader at her school. She is the author of the Super Tuesday Parental Involvement Program, P.I. Friends (Parents Involved for Rendering in Education Needed Devotional Support), and the founder and CEO of Shield of Faith Outreach Ministries, Inc., and Carolyn’s Creations, Inc. which are non-profit, Christian service ministries which provide food items and other resources to families in need. Ms.Jones is a former Girl and Boy Scout leader, Special Olympics volunteer, school improvement team coordinator and a dance team sponsor, Title 1 parental involvement educator and action team chair, Senior class sponsor, school news reporter, staff development and school technology coordinator. Some of her professional affiliations include: A+PEL , Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators (LACUE), International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), American Federation of Teachers (AFT), Alpha Lambda Delta, Cambridge who’s who registry of Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs, Golden Key International honour society, Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society, Sigma Alpha Pi, The International Reading Association and Phi Delta Kappa International. Occasionally, she enjoys reading, and fishing. Ms. Jones is also the proud mother of three handsome sons; Anthony, Marcus, and Larry Jr. and two beautiful grandchildren; Noah Ethan, and D.J.
