About the Book

WHITE LACE COVERED WINDOWS, by Linda Glod is a coffee table book about Poland, written in English, as a personal overview of Poland, its culture and traditions, expressed in photography and poetry through the eyes of an American expatriate living in Poland during the years 1998 – 2003. WHITE LACE COVERED WINDOWS, captures the beauty and elegance, the spunk, the tragedy, courage, tenacity, and energy, the talent and creativity together with the rich history of Poland portrayed in photographs and poems, by Linda Glod, that attempt to capture the true spirit of this intriguing country in today´s Europe.

About the Author

Linda Glod, wife, mother, grandmother, businesswoman, educator, musician, poet, and photographer was born and raised in Idaho. She was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, and a Master of Arts degree in education from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Additional post graduate studies in finance, insurance and investments were completed in Pennsylvania. The author’s precious publications focus on the corporate world, where Linda authored monthly column and special feature articles in various newsletters. While living in Poland with her husband, Stan, the idea of creating a photo/poetry album developed. Hoping to capture the beautiful memories of this experience to share with family and friends resulted in White Lace Covered Windows. Stan and Linda Glod live in Northern Virginia.
