About the Book

Jake and his brothers first must deal with the end of the world before traveling back in time to the Sofala gold rush and then back to a new life on a new world. Along the way, they must conquer their fears and battle dark forces intent on blocking their way. But everyone is not what they appear to be, and life can change in the blink of an eye. Dragon, witches, wizards, goblins, ogres, trolls, fairies, druids, dwarves, elves, gods, and flying pigs all play a part in this story that covers ten thousand years of history.

About the Author

Merlin was born in Sydney, Australia on April 4, 1960. and grew up in North St. Ives on the edge of the Kuringgai Chase national park. After school, he started work as a Jackeroo on a farm near the NSW QLD border. In 1987, he started at University as a mature age student; and completed a Bachelor of Social Science, Double major in psychology; Graduate Diploma of Counselling, Family counselling; Bachelor of Social Science (Honours), major in Forensic psychology; Master of Social Science (Honours), major children’s reading disorders by Research. In 2004, Merlin started work with the NSW Government. In the second month of his employment, an incident occurred that so shocked and disturbed him that it caused a Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Clinical Depression. To aid in his recovery, he writes, to silence the voices in his mind.
