This is a collection of poems dealing with the pain of loss, the struggles we face when someone we love has been taken from our world. Grief is so personal to each one of us walking through this. We handle it individually and in the best way we can. May these poems offer you some peace by knowing that your feelings are valid, and you are not alone!

About the Author

Patricia B. Schoeler (Pat), a West Orange resident, was born and raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Having also lived in Livingston for twenty-eight years, she is the epitome of a true “Jersey girl.” She retired from a management position in the corporate world. In retirement, Pat discovered her talent for writing poetry. Life’s experiences, both happy and tragic, and the ability to empathize so deeply with others give her the passion to chronicle these events. She has the unique ability of putting her heart at the end of a pen and sharing this with others.
