(roughly) Three years earlier…. April 10, 2016 Casper, Wyoming “Husband’s, you are to love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for her. That’s what God commands us to do in Ephesians 5:25, to love our wives. I see all you husband’s in the room shifting around u comfortably, messing with your hair or smoothing down your tie. Relax a little, there’s no need to be nervous. My question for you is, are you feeling convicted yet? Well, conviction, coupled with the truth, can be uncomfortable.” I loo, around at my parishioners, gave them a moment to reflect and let the words sink in. As the lead pastor of 3:23 w/Love Ministries, I traveled the state of Wyoming giving sermons in different house churches with my wife and daughter in tow. Tonight we were at the home of one of our dear friends Stacie Adam’s, who had recently gone through a bitter divorce. She looked a little sad but I know the divorce what not the only issue she was battling. Despite the turmoil, she volunteered the use of her home and even encouraged the subject matter of my preaching. Possibly as a stepping stone in the direction of healing and being made whole again. Glancing over at my wife, she very subtly tapped the face of her watch. About the Author
Jay Embee has been attending church since he was a young boy and ironically enough, it was at the age of fourteen, during a Christian youth group, where his writing career began. At first a writer of poetry, Jay eventually branched off into Christian literature by leaning further into his faith. Originally hailing from Colorado he currently resides in the great state of Texas. He is also in the early stages of writing his second book. Lisa Embee is an insurance agent by day but a pet sitter by night. She also loves to climb fourteen thousands foot mountains and travel to interesting locales around the world. Her belief in Jesus is strong and this book has served to strengthen her faith. In between splitting her time in Arizona and Florida, she is blessed enough to call Colorado her home. At this time Lisa has no plans for a second book.
