About the Author

I am Mark Mathews and I have lived in the Midwest for the majority of my life. I am married to Tammy Mathews and we have four grown children and several grandchildren who all live nearby. Since graduating High School, I spent four years in the United States Marines as a military policeman. I then transitioned to the civilian side of law enforcement where I spent 32 years in various capacities in the field. During that time, I attended Indiana Wesleyan University and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2008. I continued to work in the government for more than five years in the field of Social Services. Some of my greatest joy and satisfaction comes from coaching and leading other to find their own identity and becoming the person God created them to be In 2023, I began pastoring a local congregation, A New Beginning Ministry in Rushville, Indiana, which continues to this day.
