About the Author

Dr Eric Kok is a Genetic Engineering expert at a hospital in Sydney. His team was the recipient of the 2023 New South Wales Premier’s Award for outstanding health service. He is a graduate of the Writers’ Studio and loves all things creative. Being a self confessed xenophile and science fiction and fantasy nerd, he was inspired by the novel A River Divided, written by a professor at his workplace, to pursue his life long dream of becoming a travelling author. His debut work of speculative fiction, ANIMALIS: Ascent of an Angel, crafted over the span of two decades, explores complex themes related to genetic engineering and society, providing readers with a thought-provoking experience that intertwines scientific concepts with imaginative storytelling.
