About the Book
Currently, we live in a world filled with corruption, where many of society’s problems are formed. One of these problems is child exploitation, where we mean sexual abuse pertaining to child pornography that is easily sold on the World Wide Web every day. Several organizations have been dismantled however, they do not stop operating in any place in the world. Children’s sexual abuse or pedophilia is the behavior where the minor is used as an object where a relation of inequality is maintained, whether it’s age, maturity, or power. It is a global problem that it is found in one way or the other. It is present in all cultures and societies. We cannot allow the continuity of these abuses therefore we need to report any anomaly that occurs at home, in the streets, schools, or at the least expected places. These organizations operate at any time and poorer countries are the sellers while rich countries are the procurers.
About the Author
Moisés Trápala is originally from Tulancingo Hidalgo, Mexico. He was born on September 4, 1975 and finished his studies in the same city. At the age of six, he already had his own literary ideas, which led him to start a program called Purrupo that was based mainly on his own narratives and animal stories. He recalls later that when he played with his brother and cousins, he would prepare a short story to start off; it was fascinating. At age of eleven, he already wrote his own mini-books based on people from his neighborhood. His plan had always been to write a book. At the age of eighteen, he immigrated to the United States filled with hope. He arrived in Californian soil, but his plans soon vanished due to the scarcity and difficulty in finding work. He thus moved the state of Oregon where he also did not find major labor opportunities. Coming to the United States is difficult, especially when you don’t speak English. Hence, he understood that if didn’t study the language, it would not be easy to live in that great nation. “You face a lot of difficulties when you don’t have any legal documentation; the opportunities vanish and it’s difficult to find a good job. The majority of Latinos work in hotels, restaurants or in agriculture, amongst other jobs that Americans don’t like to do. We’re in a country where you live with discrimination, not only by the Americans or Anglo-Saxons, but also by our own Latin race, many of which exasperate jobs with envy.” He says in respect to that time in his life. Amidst that situation, he decided to study and join the fish processing plants. Later, the door that he longed for opened: writing. Among his greatest inspirations are the children and the youth who are targets of abuse and child pornography.
