The creation of Simon Gaffney and Gene Stapleton, Hump T-Rex is the story of a roaring, stomping new hero for kids and parents to enjoy over and over again.

Drawing upon the story of everyone’s favourite accident-prone egg, and tapping into the fact that dinosaurs are the most awesome things since, well, dinosaurs, Hump T-Rex will enchant and delight readers and listeners of all ages.

Writer, musician and dad of two, Simon dreamt up the idea of Hump T-Rex very early one morning (his boys were 2 and 3 at the time…) and started composing it on his cycle to work.

Graphic designer by day, superdad by night (and at weekends), Gene's drawing skills had been laying pretty much dormant until Simon dropped the first draft of Hump T-Rex on his desk. Now they're wide awake.

In between working on advertising campaigns, Simon and Gene crafted and developed the story and illustrative style, and started bouncing around ideas for the further adventures of their kind-hearted, inquisitive baby dinosaur.
