About the Book

The voice inside my head is a collection of poems that I have written about times throughout my life, some hard times and some beautiful moments. All of the poems are based on my personal experience and some of my emotions and feelings in these situations. I write of hope, religion, pain, sorrow, depression and paranoia as well as my alcohol and drug abuse. This is a book that touches on spirituality and faith in a higher power, redemption and the strength to carry on.

About the Author

I was born on the thirteenth of January 1983 in Canberra Australia. The eldest of three siblings I bore the brunt of the rage and violence we experienced consistently throughout our childhood. My father is a decent man today and I have a lot to do with him, nothing changes if nothing changes. My parents divorced when I was thirteen and I turned to drugs and alcohol, it seemed to numb the pain. I spent the better part of my life running from my troubles until I found myself in the AMC earlier this year, a correctional facility in Canberra. I spent my time writing poetry in my cell for the duration of my time there; it was a blessing in disguise. I no longer feel like a lost soul I have a purpose and I thrive on life, I feel my journey has just begun.
