About the Author

Mr. Poole was born in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Western High School. He received a commission as Junior Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy when World War II broke out and retired as Captain after spending 20 years as a civilian special agent in Naval Intelligence. He retired to La Jolla, CA, and he and his wife Leota spent many years visiting Hawaii.
