About the Book

TO ARKANSAS WITH LOVE is about the real Arkansas, as experienced by a couple of Northerners who came there to retire.  Since Bill Clintons first term there has been widespread interest in Arkansas.  Reporters there on a one-night stand have covered it.  

The book was inspired by the medias condescending and shabby treatment of the state and its people.  It celebrates the normal people of Arkansas.  They are not plaster saints.  This goes double for the saran-wrapped elite.  But most of them are not slippery real estate amd financial operators, or residents of Dog Patch.

They have a southern courtesy and charm that makes them delightful company.  Arkansas animals seem to have picked up some of this southern charm, and a few are included in the book.

TO ARKANSAS WITH LOVE will make good evening reading for you as you recharge your batterries for tomorrow.

About the Author

My young years were spent in the Midwest. I met my future husband at Iowa State University. A Forestry major, he loved the outdoors. When the opportunity came to retire, we picked the North Arkansas lake district.
