About the Author

Jane Neely-Stambaugh grew up on a small dairy farm in Central Pennsylvania. She now lives on another farm in the same area with her husband and two sons. The goat herd was started so the boys would have animals for their 4-H and FFA projects. Besides the goat herd, the family grows hay, corn, and oats and raises a few chickens, beef cows, and hogs. After teaching Kindergarten and third grade for 28 years in the local school district, she has now finished her 2nd year as an elementary school librarian. Raising Rosie was a time consuming commitment as well as a great learning experience for the whole family.
